Never Back Down is about a teenage fighter named Jake Tyler, who because I can’t kick any ass myself, I will pretend is my cousin. It’s a little weird actually. The guy they cast to play Jake Tyler actually looks like a Tyler. Ok, maybe that sound crazy but my family has a certain look to it, and he could easily some sort of long lost, ridiculously ripped cousin from a forgotten branch of the sagging Tyler family tree. I almost feel a little sorry for the bastard they hired to play him for being forced into association with the Tyler clan. After all, we were responsible for one of the most useless, ineffective presidents in United States history. Sorry about that America.
Tyler family concerns aside, there’s probably very little hope that Never Back Down will be any good, but at least an underground teenage fighting movie is a nice change of pace from underground teenage dancing movies or underground teenage racing movies. I’ll take it. Summit Entertainment has just released 6 new clips from Never Back Down. Watch all six below, and watch for the movie in theaters on March 14th.
