Sundance Video Blog #5: Stoker, Before Midnight, Ass Backwards, And More Movies We Loved

48 hours can be a really, really long time at a film festival. You can see as many as 10 movies in that time, and if you're lucky, a lot of them will be so good that you won't want to stop talking about them. So for our first video blog in two days, Matt Patches and I had plenty to talk about: Park Chan-Wook's divisive Stoker (we loved it, nearly everyone else hated it), the rapturous Before Midnight, the Terrence Malick-esque Ain't Them Bodies Saints, the hotly anticipated Upstream Color, and the bonkers road trip comedy Ass Backwards. Check out our full rundown in the video below.

You can go a few places to learn more about all of these movies. I reviewed Before Midnight-- with absolutely no spoilers!-- right here, and also reviewed the confounding Upstream Color. Neither of us have yet written about Stoker, but Patches' colleague Brian Moylan loved it too and wrote about it here. Patches summed up his loved for Ass Backwards in this review. And of course, for all of our previous video blogs and my full Sundance coverage, you can click here. The festival may be winding down, but there's still plenty more coverage to come!
