Transformers 2 Spoilers

Transformers 2 Spoilers You’ve no doubt heard that Rainn Wilson has a small part in the upcoming Transformers sequel. What we haven’t known, is what exactly he’ll be doing in it. Personally, I’ve been kind of hoping he’ll transform into a Ford Pinto. Sadly, my dreams of Dwight as a highly flammable automobile don’t look like they’re going to come true.

The guys over at TMB claim to have the scoop on what exactly Rainn is doing in the movie, and even a few details on what’s up with Shia LaBeouf’s character this time around. If you’re eager to avoid any and all Transformers 2 spoilers, read no further.

According to their source, Rainn Wilson is playing Sam Witwicky’s college professor, a guy named Professor Colon. Sam has apparently been affected in some way by an unknown object. Whatever it is, it’s made Sam super-smart and on his first day in Colon’s class he shows up his professor by reading their entire text book in 5 seconds and then telling him which parts are wrong. Other rumors regarding the plot of Transformers 2 have hinted at something called “The Splinter” which is likely the object in question. We assume it’s a splinter of the Allspark, and not a giant rat who’s really good at teaching turtles Kung Fu.

It's kind a weird that an Allspark splinter can make Sam super smart. In Transformers 1, Sam was holding the Allspark cube and nothing happen to him. Maybe something happened to the Allspark splinter when it got separated from the cube.

  1. KNexus Says:

Splinter teaches Ninjitsu. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, not Teenage Mutant Kung Fu Panda Turtles.... I hope with all this MTV coverage of the sequel the Transformers legacy isn't screwed over by the story being focused on the pop-culture teenie actors/actresses. I would be completely satisfied if the whole story was just the transformers themselves with action scenes like the one where Optimus owned that Decepticon under the highway overpass. If I wanted to watch a movie about the awkwardness of growing up a boy in America with a few cheap laughs and one liners I would watch a PG-13 version of American Pie.

    *end rant*

  1. fdgdfgdf Says:

Good point: why didn't they think of a TMNT/Transformers cross-over in the 80s in terms of the cartoon shows? Besides the fact that it would likely suck and also different production companies...

  1. Someone Says:

I agree with KNexus, don't screw up the transformers just so you can fit some useless tna in the movie...and annoying coming of age relationship crap...not in this series
