Watch The Hobbit Get 18 Sequels In A Funny Saturday Night Live Sketch

Think two additional Hobbit movies is a bit excessive? How about eighteen? Last night's episode of Saturday Night Live imagined such a scenario with a fake movie trailer that promotes these possible Hobbit followups, and includes a snippet of footage from a few of them. Among them, The Hobbit II: Trying to Split a Complicated Dinner Bill.

Jennifer Lawrence (The Hunger Games, Silver Linings Playbook) hosted the episode, and you'll see her featured in the sketch below, appearing in numerous faux Hobbit sequels as The Elf Queen. In fact, one of those sequels is all about her trying to pick out an outfit…

Clever dig at Apple Maps, and I love the awkward dinner bill scene, but I think my favorite is the nod to Gremlins 2. Anyone know what happens if you feed a Hobbit after midnight? I imagine we'd find out in The Hobbit 14: The New Batch.
