The Wolverine Gets A Stormy New International Poster
Hugh Jackman has already played Wolverine in five different movies, a record for any actor playing a live-action superhero. The Aussie actor has become synonymous with the part and has made a big screen icon out of the character with six claws and a pair of mutton chops. So it's no surprise that 20th Century Fox believes that they can get away with a title-less international poster for director James Mangold's The Wolverine - and the truth is that they really can.
And not only has the studio released a standard one-sheet for the upcoming comic book flick, they have also posted a cool stormy motion poster. You can scope out both of them below and click on the still one to see it in high-res in our database.
You may have noticed that Wolverine isn't in the United States or even his good ol' home country of Canada in these images. The reason for that is because the Christopher McQuarrie-scripted tale takes the adamantium-clawed hero to the Far East on a journey of self-discovery and to train as a samurai warrior. These plans are disrupted, however, when he runs into conflcit with Kenuichio Harada, a mutant known as Silver Samurai who has the ability to transfer energy into just about anything, and when using his charged katana he can cut through just about anything in the world.
Fox will release The Wolverine on July 26th next year. For more from the movie, including posters, images, and news, head over to our Blend Film Database.
