BREAKING MOVIE NEWS
Albert Torres has officially been hired to adapt the award-winning comic book series Locke & Key into a thrilling screenplay for Universal. Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman are producing the project along with Bobby Cohen (Now You See Me) and Ted Adams, CEO and publisher of IDW Publishing, which released the comics.
The film rights to one of my favorite comic series of all time, Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra’s Y: The Last Man, will soon revert back to its creators, so it's a good time to revisit a handful of other graphic novels and comic series that we'd love to see finally make it to the big screen.
Whether or not Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez's popular comic book series Locke & Key ever makes it to the screen remains to be seen, but if it doesn't, it won't be for lack of trying or interest. Rights to the series were originally acquired at Dimension Films, but then lost to Dreamworks where Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci eventually tried to adapt it for television.
