New Avengers Set Video Shows Ant-Man, Gamora And More In Honor Of Houston

With the Marvel Cinematic Universe treading deeper into Phase Three, the fandom is getting increasingly excited for the next two Avengers movies. Infinity War and Avengers 4 will unite just about every character in the shared universe, and fans are eager to see how the Avengers and Guardians appear together. We've just gotten a new glimpse into some characters' costumes, thanks to some advocacy work that Marvel Studios as ABC are doing to assist with the relief for Houston. You can check out the video below, which features Marvel stars Paul Rudd, Zoe Saldana, Evangeline Lilly, and Karen Gillan.

Pretty powerful stuff. The devastation from Hurricane Harvey is being felt by the area around Houston, Texas, and now Marvel's heroes are attempting to become real-life ones by donating towards the relief and encouraging the fans to do the same.

While Zoe Saldana's speech in the above video is indeed touching, we'd be remiss to not mention the new costumes that are being showcased as well. In particular, both Ant-Man and The Wasp are wearing new duds separate from what we've seen previously.

While Evangeline Lilly recently revealed the first look at The Wasp in costume, her appearance is quite different in the new video from the set. The first image from Ant-Man and the Wasp shows a more muted costume for Hope to wear in her debut as a bonafide superhero, and this new suit is closer to the one shown in Ant-Man's post credits scene. There are more shades of yellow in this suit's paneling, which is akin to The Wasp's costumes from the comics.

Ant-Man's costume also appears to be a variation of the one he wore Captain America: Civil War. But unlike The Wasp's new costume, Ant-Man's is actually more muted and less colorful. In particular, the grey panels and shoulder pads that he was sporting in Civil War are gone, and with more black added to the suit. Paul Rudd obviously wasn't wearing his Ant-Man mask, so it's not clear how that will change in his next few appearances in the MCU.

Also present in the Avenger's new video are Zoe Saldana's Gamora and Karen Gillan's Nebula. Their appearances don't look much different from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, despite the fact that a few years have passed before the Guardians finally interact with The Avengers.

Both Avengers 4 and Ant-Man and the Wasp are currently filming over at Atlanta, so it's not clear if Nebula and Gamora will explicitly interact with Ant-Man and The Wasp in the fourth Avengers movie. But with all of Marvel's main characters teaming up, it seems like any character pairing is possible in the next few films.

Ant-Man and the Wasp will arrive in theaters on July 6, 2018, followed by Avengers 4 in 2019. In the meantime, check out our 2017 release list to plan your next trip to the movies.
