First Poster For Sofia Coppola's Somewhere

Flying under the radar as one of the most anticipated films of 2010 is Sofia Coppola's Somewhere, her first film since 2006's Marie Antoinette and what promises to be yet another elegant, beautiful, touching piece from a director who hasn't truly disappointed yet. The new film stars Stephen Dorff, of all people, as an A-list actor holed up at the Chateau Marmont Hotel and abusing all the controlled substances and people he can get his hands on. That all changes when he's visited by his 11-year-old daughter Cleo (Elle Fanning), who helps him start to open up to the world.

It sounds delicate and, yeah, maybe a little schmaltzy, but that's kinda what Coppola knows how to do best. The publicity campaign for this film hasn't really started up yet, but Slashfilm happened upon the film's official one-sheet poster, which was posted on Facebook. The poster is well-designed and simple, featuring really just the main elements of the story-- Dorff, Fanning, the hotel-- but also capturing a nice sense of place. Check it out below and look for more on Somewhere in the coming months.
