Eric Hill, Bachelorette Contestant, Dead After Paragliding Accident
By Mack Rawden 1 year ago
Viewers who tune into the upcoming season of The Bachelorette will be introduced to a world traveler and thrill-seeker named Eric Hill. Handsome and charming, a majority of fans will likely take to him immediately, just as many did out in the real world, but unfortunately, that limited exposure will be the last we’ll get to see Hill because he tragically passed away this week.
Details are still a little fuzzy on what exactly happened, but apparently, the dashing wannabe dentist was paragliding somewhere in Utah over the weekend when his parachute collapsed. Emergency responders were quickly called to the scene, but by the time they arrived, Eric Hill was already in bad condition. Doctors placed him in a medically-induced coma to try and give his body some time to heal, but sadly, his condition didn’t improve. So, he was taken off life support at the hospital this morning.
Here’s a look at a statement the family released via Facebook…
”Eric shared his final journey with us this morning as all his immediate family were able to be at his side when he passed away. Thank you to all of your love and support and prayers and fasting. It was amazing to be with so many of his friends and family yesterday in the hospital who came to express their love for Eric. He gave us such a gift of a life fully lived and fully shared, and allowed us all to be a part of his last adventure here on earth. It is hard to think of life without his bright spark, but we know he is on to new adventures. We look forward to carrying on his legacy here and greeting him joyfully again someday. I love you so much, little brother!”
Prior to shooting episodes for The Bachelorette, Hill was on a quest to visit every single country on Earth. He was keeping detailed notes and had already visited more than fifty. Once he was finished, he was planning to enter dental school, but sadly, neither of those dreams was meant to be.
Pop Blend’s sincerest thoughts go out to Eric Hill’s entire family, as well as all of those touched by his lives. Here’s to hoping The Bachelorette figures out a touching way to honor him when his episodes air.
