Jessica Simpson Signs Up For Weight Watchers

Following pregnancy, a majority of women make an attempt to get back to their pre-baby weight. For most, it’s a matter of confidence, pride and comfort. For celebrities, it can be a lucrative enterprise. Before she even headed for the delivery room, Jessica Simpson supposedly negotiated a deal with Weight Watchers that would pay her four million dollars to pitch the brand while getting back in shape. As the months went by without an official announcement however, some began wondering whether the deal fell through. Turns out she’s still on board.

Simpson took to her Facebook a few hours ago to announce she’s officially signed up for the weight loss aide along with a few of her friends. You can take a look at her statement below…

It’s official, I’m joining Weight Watchers! The cool thing about the program is that it focuses on healthy habits for the long-term (and I can still indulge in my guilty pleasures every now and then too). I have actually gotten a group of friends together who are going to be doing it with me. You can join me too and we can share our experiences!

Losing weight is always better when you’re doing it with other people to help stay motivated. That’s why The Biggest Loser works so well. The contestants don’t want to let down themselves or each other. Jessica Simpson’s friends and her lucrative contract should keep her in line, as well as the promise of a wedding.

According to US Weekly, the combination reality star/ actress/ singer doesn’t want to say her I-Dos without a dress she’s in love with. Apparently, she thinks that requires shedding a few pounds. For her sake and Weight Watchers’, I hope the ceremony takes place sooner rather than later.
