Lindsay Lohan May Not End Up In Rehab

Oh, Lindsay Lohan. Just a few days after the starlet accepted a plea agreement to serve out her ninety day jail sentence in a locked rehabilitation facility in New York, word has spread that those don’t exist in the Big Apple. Apparently, patients are free to come and go as they please, which means, unless some kind of special exception is made or some new facility has recently opened that people don’t know about, she may not be able to live up to the terms of her deal, which means she would need to either spend ninety days in jail or amend the plea bargain to let her get sober in California.

According to TMZ, Heller reportedly told prosecutors lockdown rehabilitation facilities exist in New York. If he is, in fact, wrong about that, it’s just the latest reason why Lindsay maybe should have stuck with her original attorney, Shawn Holley.

It all comes down to the specifics of the language in Lindsay’s plea agreement. The document hasn’t been made public, but it reportedly includes a clause saying the actress must spend ninety days in a locked facility. That’s important because it would allow her to stay in a rehab that doesn’t let patients leave but would forbid her from staying in one of the more conventional places she’s been a temporary resident at before.

We’ll let you know what the attorneys are able to work out concerning Lindsay’s future whenever the decision is made.
