Amanda Bynes is no stranger to making wild comments on Twitter. From talking about wanting Drake to murder her vagina to accusing police officers of sexual harassment to asking Barack Obama to fire a police officer, she isn’t a woman who is fond of camouflaging her real opinion. That being said, she took that reckless honesty to a whole new level today when she lashed out at Rihanna in a series of blunt and vicious tweets.
I have no idea whether Rihanna bought the shorts like that, had the pair professionally tailored or simply got out the scissors and altered the clothes herself, but I suppose it doesn’t really matter. They make more than enough of a statement without a backstory, though exactly what that statement might be depends on who you ask.
Over the years, so many celebrities, fans and critics have condemned Chris Brown and Rihanna’s on-again-off-again relationship that another one doing it normally wouldn’t be news, but considering the latest person to fire some warning shots is Brown’s own father, the words are attracting quite a bit of attention.
Rihanna has been a girl on the go since she arrived on the music scene in 2005 with “Pon de Replay.” In less than a decade, the 25-year-old artist has produced seven albums and numerous tours and has become one of the biggest celebrities in music. Now, however, it may finally be time for Rihanna to take a lengthy break.
Over the past few years, Rihanna has made it very clear that she’s not a role model and has no interest in being a role model. The twenty-five-year-old just wants to live her life the way she wants to live it, and if her Instagram account, tagged as “BadGirlRiRi”, is any indication, the way she wants to live it is fast and with plenty of envelope pushing.
Police were called to Rihanna’s home earlier this week after her neighbors spotted a man lingering outside a nearby property. They apparently confronted him about his presence, and after it became clear he was just one of the pop star’s fans, they detained him until the authorities arrived. He later told officers he broke into Rihanna’s house and snooped around, but upon further review, he actually broke into the house next door on accident.
Rihanna celebrated her twenty-fifth birthday earlier this week, and like everything else she’s done in the past few years, her blowout extravaganza has attracted plenty of attention, both for the crazy Rastafari-themed cake she was given and for the numerous photographs she posted on Instagram of her flirting, cuddling and being romantic with boyfriend Chris Brown during the evening.
Chris Brown and Drake may have thrown bottles at each other and briefly cost WIP nightclub its liquor license, but that doesn’t mean most hotspots aren’t still excited about having either of the hitmakers into the VIP section. Not only do both men spend money, they generate free buzz for the establishment and make most people in the joint feel a little more hip. Having the two of them in together, however, is another matter entirely.
Last weekend, Chris Brown and Rihanna spent time together at the Grammys in full view of the cameras, and the on-again couple seemed to be getting along great. They were affectionate, talked almost constantly and left together at the end of the night. This week, however, has been another matter entirely, and it’s leading many to wonder if the two actually brought their once again budding romance to an end.
When Fun. first started working on “We Are Young,” they had a very specific vocalist in mind for the guest part. While the band was fairly unknown at that point, only having put out one album that hadn’t sold overly well, the group was willing to reach for the stars concerning the female vocal part on the single. Fun. really wanted Rihanna, and got pretty close to reaching her and getting her on the album.
Two weeks ago, Chris Brown likely assumed his next probation progress report court hearing would be extremely routine. Unfortunately, thanks to two unexpected events, today’s court date took on added importance; so, he decided to trot out a secret weapon: Rihanna.
After months of hinting at a renewed romantic relationship with Chris Brown, Rihanna has finally gone on the record and admitted what we’ve all been well aware of. She and the pop star are officially back together, and while she’s well aware a sizeable percentage of people disapprove, she just doesn’t care anymore.
Rihanna may not be willing to admit she’s back together with Chris Brown, but she’s certainly not hiding her feelings either. Earlier today, the pop star tweeted out a picture of herself straddling her ex-boyfriend, and not surprisingly, it’s further divided her fans, some of whom support the relationship and some of whom are bothered by it.
Rihanna’s “Diamonds,” the newest single off of the singer’s 7th studio album, Unapologetic, has been rising in the Billboard music charts from week to week. Right before the Thanksgiving holiday, the song busted over the hump and hit number one on the Hot 100 charts. That’s a victory for the song, but also marks a momentous occasion for the pop star, as well.
I've participated in my share of publicity stunts in the past-- I flew on a chartered JetBlue plane with Morgan Spurlock to Altoona, Pennsylvania for the day, I ate more British food is remotely healthy for a Harry Potter DVD release-- but the length of the Rihanna 777 Tour and the distance to trail takes this to a whole new level
