Adam Levine has appeared on Saturday Night Live a number of times, but all of his previous appearances have been with his band Maroon 5. This Saturday night, he won't be on the sketch comedy series as the musical guest, he'll be hosting the episode, while Kendrick Lamar will perform as the musical guest.

Below is the promo, which has Levin accompanied by SNL's Bobby Moynihan. Prepare for a few Voice references (including chairs and buttons) and a PSA about Drunk Sober Uncle.

Levine is probably better known for his music and Maroon 5, but he's been branching out a bit more in recent years, serving as one of the judges/mentors on NBC's singing competition series The Voice and playing a small but memorable role in FX's horror-drama American Horror Story: Asylum. So he seems about ready to take on hosting SNL for his first time, though this will be his second appearance on the show this season (Maroon 5 performed last fall).

Saturday Night Live airs Saturday at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
