What do The Doctor and the Abominable Snowman have in common? Other people claim they’re real. I’ve never seen them. And rumored sightings increase tenfold around the Christmas season. For all I know, they could be the same guy, but working off a premise that they’re not, let me go ahead and bring you the brand new Doctor Who Christmas trailer.

Evoking time-tested themes of curmudgeonly behavior and wintery cheer, Doctor Who: A Christmas Carol is once again centered around the 11th incarnation of the Dr. played by Matt Smith. It’s sleek, polished and populated with more than a few wonderful little lines like “Time can be rewritten, but people can’t.” Take a peek at the trailer below. The special airs Saturday, December 25, 9:00 pm ET on BBC AMERICA.
