Justin Timberlake Joins SNL's Five Timers Club, Celebrities Show Up To Welcome Him
Saturday Night Live delivered one of its better episodes in recent history, thanks in large part to the return of Justin Timberlake, who pulled double duty, serving as host and musical guest. The episode acknowledged Timberlake's induction into the "Five Timers Club" by bringing in other celebrated celebrities who have hosted the long-running sketch comedy series five times or more, including all three Amigos (Steve Martin, Chevy Chase and Martin Short), Paul Simon, Candice Bergen, Alec Baldwin and Tom Hanks. Dan Aykroyd was also on hand to serve drinks.
NBC posted some of the videos tonight, including the opening monologue, which has Timberlake joining the exclusive "Five Timers Club."
Following up on that, in a stroke of SNL brilliance, Dan Aykroyd and Steve Martin stuck around to join two other wild and crazy guys for "It's a Date."
The latest fake commercial dresses up some birth control.
Vanessa Bayer's face when she reaches down is priceless.
And here's Timberlake performing his hit single "Suit & Tie" with Jay-Z.
Hopefully NBC will have more clips and Timberlake's other musical performance, as well as the full episode posted at NBC.com soon. In the meantime, here's a glimpse of another great sketch from the episode, which should be somewhat familiar to anyone who has seen some of Timberlake's previous episodes.
