Perception Season 1 Will Hit DVD Later This Month

Despite Trust Me failing to work out for former Will & Grace star Eric McCormack on TNT a few years ago, the man opted to work with the network again on the drama Perception, and that bid has paid off. The series has already been picked up for a second season on TNT, which will premiere in June. If you are already a big fan of the series or want to give it a shot before new episodes air, Perception: The Complete First Season will hit DVD on May 21.

The series stars McCormack as Dr. Daniel Pierce, a neuropsychiatrist who is also battling schizophrenia. He works closely with the FBI in order to help them solve cases, and as the series shows, sometimes his inner battles with schizophrenia can be a boon to the case, while at other times they may make the man seem a little crazy. Perception also stars The Journey Of Allen Strange’s Arjay Smith and She’s All That actress Rachel Leigh Cook.

The set is most notable for its distinct cover art, as ABC Studios is only putting the series out on to DVD and no bonus features are listed in the official press release. Still, all 10 episodes in Season 1 will be available and the set will run fairly cheaply. It’s listed at $29.99, but a little birdy tells us Amazon has Perception: The Complete First Season available for only $21.86.

Perception will begin airing Season 2 on TNT on Tuesday, June 25 at 9 p.m. ET.
