The Walking Dead Gets A New Trailer For Season 3's Return
In a matter of weeks, The Walking Dead will return for the second half of its third season. The latest trailer teases some exciting moments for the series' return, including the anticipated confrontation between Rick and The Governor. What will happen when these two face off? It looks like we'll find out soon enough.
I wouldn't consider the Rick/Governor face-off to be much of a spoiler as we're all sort of expecting it. But the preview below does give something else away, so watch (and read) on at your own risk.
The previously released teaser showed the governor pitting Merle against Daryl in a fight to the death. The trailer above shows Daryl warning Rick that the Governor's coming to the prison. So, I guess that means Merle doesn't kill his brother in their anticipated fight? That's assuming the fight happens at all. Sure, we could argue that they'd never kill off Daryl, but really, would The Walking Dead be above such a gut-wrenching twist? We probably shouldn't rule it out.
Also featured in the trailer, it looks like Rick and the Governor will come face to face, but where are they? Is that the prison or a Woodbury location? Anyone recognize it?
Here's the description for "The Suicide King," which airs Sunday, February 10 at 9pm ET on AMC.
With his group in tatters, his sanity in question, and his own son questioning his every move, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) must somehow pull everyone together to face their greatest challenge -- the Governor (David Morrissey). In order to survive, he must risk everything, including the group's very humanity.
