See What's On The Other Side With Mirrors

The holidays are over, which means it’s time to forgo the cheer and take in a good horror flick. Thanks to Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, you can pick up the already frightening film Mirrors in a bloodier unrated cut on DVD January 13th.

Kiefer Sutherland steps out of Jack Bauer land to play Ben Carson, an ex-cop who takes a job as a night watchman at an old department store. To make the setting even creepier, this once lavish store is now in ruins after being gutted by a fire that killed several people. An already unstable Ben is tormented by the building’s mirrors, which reflect the misery of that fateful day. Ben must look deep into the images in order to discover the store’s secret past before the mirrors can destroy him and his family.

If you want to continue the bumps in the night after finishing the theatrical version of the film you can move on to the extended unrated cut, “Reflections: The Making of Mirrors,” “Behind the Mirror,” deleted scenes and top it all off with an alternate ending. The Blu-ray version gives you all of the elements of the DVD version as well as the “Anna Esseker Backstory” featurette, animated storyboard sequence, digital copy of the film and access to BonusView Mode.

The film may not have had the best critical reception, but what horror movie does? Go to the store and pick this one up, but after you finish it, be sure to file it in the “Guilty Pleasure” section of your library.
