The first downloadable content for shooter RPG Borderlands is but a couple weeks away. According to a press release sent out this morning, it will be released on November 24th.
1UP notes that that only the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions are mentioned in the press release. It could be a simple goof on their part or could mean that PC owners will have to wait a bit longer for this new content. The DLC, The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned was initially announced for all three platforms so the PC probably won't get snubbed altogether, unless something changed between now and then.
The $10 (800 MS Point) Zombie Island is said to be a "full-fledged expansion" to the game with new items, quests, and characters. If you're still on the fence about buying the game itself, check out Blend Games' review.
Update: "The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned DLC for Borderlands WILL come to PC, for those asking, no date right now, but it will be available :)" tweeted Gearbox.
