Fan-Made Space Quest Sequel Released For Free
Are you still a fan of Roger Wilco? You know, the galaxy's most popular space janitor? Well, if you answered yes, then there's some good news for you: a new Space Quest game has been made. The only downside is that it's not official and it's fan-made. That's assuming you don't like fan-made games, otherwise it's all good.
AgedGamer came across the new project by a fairly large group of dedicated individuals. In fact, there's enough credits to basically call it a fairly large independent project.
The game itself takes place after the 1995 point-and-click animated adventure game, Space Quest 6: The Spinal Frontier. The last game was actually the weakest in the series and felt like it had a hard time figuring out what it wanted to be, especially coming off the two very well done adventures with Space Quest 4 and Space Quest 5 (SQ4 was probably the best out of the series with the whole time-traveling thing and the fun mini-games). The fan-made project takes place chronologically after Space Quest 6 and it's called Space Quest: Vohaul Strikes Back.
The game itself is a full-length, fully featured point-and-click adventure title. The only thing it doesn't have is a voice pack, but according to the website the team is working on one. I don't think the voice-overs are all that necessary but if they manage to pull it off convincingly then all the more power to them.
If you've been desiring to further Roger Wilco's adventures then you might want to check out the Official Website to start downloading the game for free, right now.
