Final Fantasy XIV, Square Enix's second attempt at a second MMORGP set in their most popular universe, is steadily moving toward becoming A Realm Reborn. To give potential players an idea of what they can expect out of the upcoming revamp, a new “Exploration” trailer has now been made available for your viewing pleasure.
We announced earlier this week that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn had officially opened its doors for beta sign-ups.
Final Fantsy XIV's initial launch a couple of years ago was something of a disaster. Players complained about bugs, broken systems and gameplay that was just plain dull. Rather than scrap the project completely, however, Square Enix shifted some positions around and got a new team working on fixing the initial game's numerous shortcomings. That's no small task and, soon, we'll be able to finally see the fruits of that labor. A Realm Reborn is drawing nearer and nearer to a wide release and, to prepare, Square Enix is slowly allowing more and more participants into the game's ongoing beta.
