Halfbrick's Fruit Ninja Kinect received a batch of free content today in honor of the holiday season. Players can download the Christmas DLC pack for free through Xbox Live.

The DLC unlocks a new Candy Cane Blade for you to slice unsuspecting fruit with. Also included in the DLC are a "Santa's Workshop" background and a "Snow Globe" silhouette. The later makes you look like a walking snow globe, which is pretty snazzy. The new items can be found in the Sensei Swag menu under "Christmas Present."

"If Santa were a ninja -- and we all know he really is -- this is how he'd keep his skills sharp in the slow summer months," said Phil Larsen, Halfbrick chief marketing officer.

In Fruit Ninja Kinect, players must slash fruit thrown onto the screen by making swinging motions with their hands. They can rack up bonus points by slicing multiple pieces of fruit with one swing. They must also take care to avoid attacking the bombs that fly onto the screen. The game can be downloaded for the limited time price of 800 MS Points, or $10.
