Stardock Entertainment has announced the first standalone expansion to 4X strategy Sins of a Solar Empire today. Ironclad Games is developing Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion for an unknown release date.
Rebellion adds two new factions, the Loyalists and Rebels, each with a unique tech tree. The factions boasts modified versions of the existing Sins ships. New Titan-class, Capital, and Corvette-class ships are also included.
The expansion tightens up the experience from the original Sins as well. The visuals have been beefed up with better lighting and particle effects. New victory conditions will offer you new ways to win the day. Impulse: Reactor support for Friends, Chat, and Achievements is included as well.
