Arriving in 2011 for the aforementioned consoles in the headline, Jimmie Johnson’s Anything with an Engine is a super-over-the-top racing title made in the likes of games such as Rocket Jockey and Speed Kings. And by over-the-top, I mean racing in a torpedo pod on wheels while flames burn up the track behind it.

Jimmy Johnson, yes the famous NASCAR driver, commented in the press release about his new project collaboration with Autumn Games and Isopod Games, saying…
“There are certainly a lot of entertaining racing games, but I’ve always felt there was something missing. I wanted to capture that kind of ‘anything goes’ element in racing and make a unique game that appeals to everyone. The teams at Autumn Games and Isopod Laps are incredibly talented, which gives us the opportunity to develop what I hope is a truly ground-breaking series.”

The game actually looks like a total blast to play, with all sorts of ridiculous turbo-charged objects working as makeshift vehicles for players to utilize on glamorized tracks, complete with fanfare pyrotechnics, hairpin turns and plenty of stunting, shunting and bumping to pass around.

Jason Donnell, president and COO, Autumn Games shared a few thoughts about the upcoming game, saying…
“With the help of NASCAR superstar Jimmie Johnson, we set out to create an innovative and fun racing experience – unlike anything in the gaming market today,”… “Jimmie’s vision in creating this game aligns with our goal of bringing new and exciting experiences to gamers of all ages.”

You can look for Jimmie Johnson’s Anything With An Engine to hit store shelves in 2011 for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii. To learn more about the game feel free to visit the Official Facebook Page.
