One common criticism of Resident Evil 5 was that it felt more like a co-op shooter than a horror game. Capcom's heard your concerns and may make Resident Evil 6 a more traditional RE experience.
"We know that alot of fans want more horror back for the next one, the development team knows that as well and we read a lot of comments, messageboards, and ask for feedback, and there was a lot of critisism about RE5′s focus on action," a Capcom rep told Rely On Horror at E3.
"I think that you’ll like the direction the dev team is shifting for the next one."
Unfortunately, horror fans will have to wait awhile for RE6. Back in 2009, Capcom said the game might take four to eight years.
