Capcom is doing something a little bit different, they're hyping Street Fighter X Tekken by promoting a new contest-oriented reality show that sees ten contestants battling it out over the course of several weeks to win $25,000. In addition to this, they also released some new screenshots for Street Fighter X Tekken.

The reality show will air on the web and it's called "Cross Assault". As stated in the press release...
Hundreds of passionate Street Fighter and Tekken fans have submitted video blogs to vie for one of the coveted spots on Team Street Fighter and Team Tekken. Though the competition was thick, in the end, only ten could be chosen. Today, Capcom puts the anticipation to rest by releasing a new trailer that confirms the cast of “Cross Assault.”

The show will begin airing on February 22nd and will run up until February 28th, giving gamers a few episodes to soak in and enjoy as the ten contestants battle it out to win the $25,000...which I'm sure many gamers would need during these tough times, both for survival and to have on hand to buy the new game consoles, which are obviously going to cost an arm and a leg.

Anyways, Street Fighter X Tekken is set for release in early March for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. A PS Vita version is currently in the works. For more info on the game and the "Cross Assault" web show, feel free to visit the Official Website.
