So far the promotional campaign for The Amazing Spider-Man has been fairly par for the course of a major blockbuster-- a trailer led to a viral campaign led to new images led to a super-preview, all leading up to the film's July 3 release date. But with that date getting closer and closer, it's time to get the film's stars involved in the promotion, and that's where things can get weirder, funnier, and infinitely more entertaining. And from the looks of Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone's rapport in this very brief clip from a German promo, it's going to be a lot of fun to watch. Take a look below.

Talking to Vulture, mostly about his role in Broadway's Death of a Salesman, Garfield says they were given this ridiculous promo dialogue and decided to sing it to make fun of it. He claims to be surprised that they even used it, but come on-- everyone is looking for something different than the standard promo material, even the people who assign the bad promo dialogue to begin with. When you get Peter Parker and Gwen Stacey acting silly and laughing together, there's no way you're not going to share that with the world.

When he was promoting The Social Network back in 2010, Garfield wasn't just the least-known star from the film, but the softest spoken-- it was pretty easy to hide behind Justin Timberlake and Jesse Eisenberg, after all. But as Peter Parker, he's going to have to be front and center for The Amazing Spider-Man for a solid month, and he seems to have gotten a little more comfortable with the spotlight in the meantime to handle it. Here's to many, many more silly songs from him and Emma Stone in the coming months.
