Black Widow And Captain America Kick Some Ultron Ass In New Avengers 2 Concept Art

It won't be long until we get our first official look at The Avengers: Age of Ultron. This Saturday, Marvel Studios is having their annual presentation at San Diego Comic-Con, and in addition to having the entire cast of the 2015 blockbuster come up on stage, we also expect that it will be the first time that we will get to see footage from the movie. Of course, we're dying with anticipation to see what they bring, but helping us keep our wits about ourselves are the new pieces of concept art that keep popping up online.

Yesterday we saw the release of two pieces highlighting Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch and Robert Downey Jr's Iron Man, but today Marvel has released new artwork featuring Chris Evans' Captain America and Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow - the stars of this year's Captain America: The Winter Soldier - who are getting the spotlight shown on them. Up top you can see Widow using her patented "stingers" to help try and short out a few members of Ultron's robotic army, but below we see that Cap is struggling a bit with the baddies he's facing down, and nearly getting swallowed by the crowd:

As we mentioned yesterday, all of these pieces are actually parts of a much larger puzzle. While it seems each section was made by a different artist - Andy Park drew the Black Widow portrait and Ryan Meinerding took care of Cap - they will eventually all come together to form one giant piece of concept art. We've already started putting the pieces together, and you can see what we have so far below (click to see it in its highest resolution!):

Of course, if you look closely and/or have been paying attention to Marvel movies thus far, it's pretty easy to tell what the missing sections are and how they will eventually fit in. You can clearly see part of Hulk's arm in the Black Widow artwork - suggesting that he will be taking over the top right corner of the piece - and on the opposite side of the super spy a part of Mjonir, Thor's hammer. The arrows featured in the Scarlet Witch image suggest that Hawkeye will be taking up residence in the bottom right corner, which probably means that Aaron Taylor-Johnson's Quicksilver will be in the top left.

We expect the last four pieces of Avengers: Age of Ultron San Diego Comic-Con concept art to be released over the next two days, so keep checking in with us as we work to complete the picture!
