Clash Of The Titans Blu-Ray Grabbing For Your Cash With Green Lantern Footage

Somehow, amidst a sea of terrible reviews, Clash of the Titans managed to make money. Enough money that a sequel is already planned. But without the pull of the here-to-stay 3D gimmick (and it is exactly that), home video sales for the "film" might be in question. Don't worry though, Warner Home Video has a solution.

If your movie was terrible and probably won't sell well on DVD, then why not stick entice potential suckers with an exclusive first look at a movie that might actually be good as a special feature on your bad movie? According to Coming Soon, that's exactly what they're doing. The movie in question is the Ryan Reynolds fronted Green Lantern, due for theaters next June. You could say it makes sense--both properties are at Warner Bros. after all--but for some reason this smells like a money grab, especially since they bothered to make this announcement so soon.

Green Lantern has all the players and funding to be a great movie, but don't buy Clash of the Titans on any home video format just to get at the first look. Chances are it'll wind up on the internet before the home video release anyway.
