Comic Con: Update On The Long-Awaited Machete

Did you see Death Proof? Probably not based on the box office numbers, but the Tarantino/ Rodriguez project found a cultish, rabid following. And now one of the trailers which ran during the movie is getting its full-length feature.

Machete, the ode to a blood-thirsty madman played by Johnny-23 from Con Air, now officially has a script and should be fully hashed out over the next few months. As of now, it’s planned for a direct-to-DVD release and will feature a trailer for a Planet Terror sequel entitled Cherry Darling. Sweet action. If all works out with this project, filmmakers are planning two additional sequels as well.
