Fred: The Movie Is Getting A Sequel

If you don't know who Fred Figglehorn is, I sincerely envy you. My life was so much better before I was introduced to that idiotic "YouTube star" who is really nothing more than a hyperactive, high-voiced jackass that only people with an IQ below 30 find entertaining. Because somebody thought it was a good idea to give make a movie about this dumbass, Fred: The Movie came out last year and - surprise, surprise - nobody went to go see it. That only makes this story more infuriating.

THR reports that Night of the Living Fred, a sequel to Fred; The Movie, is now in development and being produced by Lionsgate, Varsity Picture and The Collective. While the article doesn't provide any details about the story, the movie apparently will be made in 3D. In a statement announcing the project, Lionsgate’s president Michael Paseornek said,

“We're always excited to partner with talent who has a direct relationship with a broad online fan base, because there are so many possibilities for engaging that audience throughout the filmmaking and marketing process. Lucas is a true next generation entertainer, and we are so proud to bring Fred, the unique character he created, to his fans in 3D. Fred has already conquered the online world and achieved record ratings for Nickelodeon, and we believe he's ready for his feature film debut."

Instead of having an aneurism over how terrible an idea this is, I will instead just share the trailer instead. If it doesn't immediately put you off the idea of seeing it or its sequel, please consult a doctor about getting your head removed from your ass.
