Ghosts of Girlfriends Past seems as if it were intentionally designed to embody everything I hate about the modern romantic comedy. It’s about a glamorous guy with a glamorous lifestyle where he doesn’t really have to work, except to hang around with glamorous celebrities. It takes place at a wedding and oh it has Matthew McConaughey in it.
But I don’t hate the poster. Mostly because if you squint, it looks like McConaughey is being strangled by one of his jilted girlfriends. He deserves it. Not for loving and leaving, but for all the horrible movies he’s made with Kate Hudson. Enjoy the fantastic first poster for Ghosts of Girlfriends Past below.
