He-Man Lives?

The great guys over at Moviehole have dug up a tidbit from MTV concerning the long gestating new He-Man movie. The good news is that the project isn't entirely dead. The bad news? Don't expect to see the Power of Greyskull used any time soon.

The project has been hanging out at John Woo's production company for awhile now, going nowhere fast. MTV's source confirms that it hasn't dropped off the map, and it's still there. It's just not high priority for John, and he's lost his enthusiasm for doing it.

They have a script for it, written by Adam Rifkin, they're just not doing anything with it. They're not even sure his script is the one they'll ultimately use if the He-Man movie is greenlit. Moviehole says toymaker Mattel is still talking about it, but then they're probably hungry for new action figures to sell based on a movie.
