Heartbreak Kid Trailer

I’m going to be honest. I’m a fan of the Farrelly brothers. So, I was pretty excited when I first watched the trailer for their upcoming film Heartbreak Kid. I even laughed out loud at Rob Corddry in the very beginning, but sadly, it was all downhill from there. Most of the jokes were sophomoric and predictable (even by Farrelly standards), and the whole tone just seemed tired and already done.

Heartbreak Kid stars Ben Stiller, his hilarious father Jerry, Rob Corddry, and Michelle Monaghan. The basic premise follows a commitment-phobic man (B. Stiller) who eventually is swept off his feet a seemingly perfect woman. Fittingly, all goes wrong on the honeymoon and the Zoolander star immediately falls for another woman. At some point hilarity probably ensues, and everyone learns a valuable lesson. I’ll probably wait for the DVD, but who am I to tell you what to think?

Click over to Yahoo, and decide for yourself. I’m really hoping my initial instinct is off; however, I have a hard time buying into a movie that can’t produce two and a half minutes worth of trailer worthy moments.
