New Image Of Hector Hammond From Green Lantern

When the first trailer for Green Lantern dropped last week, everybody was focused on Ryan Reynolds' CGI suit and how great it didn't look. Completely ignored, though, was Peter Sarsgaard's Hector Hammond who not only was costumed using make-up, but looked damn good. Perhaps that's why we shouldn't be surprised that the newest image from the film focuses on him instead.

Bleeding Cool has discovered a magazine scan of one of the film's main baddies, and I personally couldn't be more happy with the character's appearance. It's not exactly easy to have a character whose trademark is his giant head and make it not look goofy, but they've really made something special here. Hammond's head looks bulbous and gross (like he's about to enter a Rocky Dennis look-a-like competition) and that's exactly what they needed to do. Looking at what they were able to do with the character it makes it all the more depressing that they decided to go with the CGI costume for the lead.

Check out part of the image below and head on over to Bleeding Cool to see the full thing. Also, for more about Green Lantern, head on over to our Blend Film Database.
