Jennifer Garner And Nick Nolte Join The Russell Brand Arthur Remake

Caught up in the media blitz promoting Get Him to the Greek, I admit I kinda forgot about Russell Brand's other next project, the remake of the 1981 Dudley Moore film Arthur. Brand is set to star as the rich playboy who is supposed to marry an upper-crust WASP but falls for a poor girl instead, and while Greta Gerwig is already on board as the true love and Helen Mirren as the loyal nanny, it's taken this long to find just the right rich lady.
That role has now gone to Jennifer Garner, according to Variety< and Nick Nolte of all people has signed as well, to play the father of Gerwig's character. I can only imagine the kind of terrifying "meet my Dad" scenario we should expect when Nolte and Brand come face to face. Arthur will be directed by Jason Winer , with Bruno writer Peter Baynham writing the screenplay.
