New Kick-Ass Character Posters

Having read every issue twice (December can't come soon enough for the final installment) and spent the better part of two years obsessing about the adaptation, Matthew Vaughn's Kick-Ass is very high on my "most anticipated of 2010" list. While fans have mostly had to survive on bootleg clips from Comic-Con and various production stills, we now have character posters to drool over.

IGN has been kind enough to release the promotions which, when put side by side in the correct order, spell out the title of the film and show the four main characters perched on a roof with their back to the camera. Probably my favorite thing about these posters, however, is that instead of featuring the names of the actors it simply gives the characters' secret identities and monikers, which fits in perfectly with the film's raison d'etre. Instead of noticing Nic Cage and McLovin, you just see four bad ass superheroes.

Now that it's been picked up by Lionsgate and has a set release date (April 16), it is hard to imagine that a teaser trailer is far off and you can be sure that it will be up on the site faster than you can say "armed Catholic schoolgirl" when it becomes available. Check out the posters side-by-side below and to see them even bigger click over to IGN, whom you can blame for marring them with an unsightly watermark..
