Kristin Davis Says There Won't Be A Third Sex And The City Movie

Asking actors whether or not there will be sequels to movies they have made usually results in vague answers based on no real knowledge, because unless they're producing your own stuff, they probably have no idea. Still, Kristin Davis was pretty much just stating the obvious when she told E! Online Canada that, no, there probably won't be a Sex and the City 3.

"I could be wrong," she said. "Obviously there was a time when we thought there was no movie happening so you never know. But it is not looking great." She also said she wished a third movie was happening, but that's probably because she still wants the gravy train to keep rolling, not because she actually wants to keep playing a character she originated 12 years ago. Davis was part of Couple's Retreat, another movie that was inexplicably successful, but she probably knows playing Charlotte York is as lucrative as it's going to get.

Really, this statement means nothing-- the producers could just as easily decide to greenlight a third monstrosity, and so long as Sarah Jessica Parker is willing to make it happen, we'll be forced to watch it. But at least you can rest easy knowing that no one has brought up the idea yet… or at least not with Davis in the room.
