Casting child actors is no easy task, particularly when said child actor needs to play a family member or younger version of one of the adult characters. Taking both looks and talent into consideration, the latter generally wins out but means that the young character has actually no physical likeness to the older actors. In the case of Marc Webb's Spider-Man reboot, they absolutely nailed it.

Superhero Hype has revealed that actor Miles Elliot has been hired to play the role of Curt Connors' son, Billy, in Sony's restart of their webslinger franchise. Curt, of course, is being played by Rhys Ifans and if you compare his photo with the photo on the right you'll notice that they got it spot on. Obviously young, Elliot has appeared in four short films this year and, most recently, was in an episode of Grey's Anatomy. The film is currently shooting in Los Angeles.

Not since Troy Gentile came on the scene to play a young Jack Black in both Nacho Libre and Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny have I seen such perfect child actor casting. Now all we can hope is that Webb didn't sacrifice talent for likeness.
