Paul Giamatti Gets Lucky With Three Wives

Paul Giamatti has spent years being an unlikely sex symbol-- OK, a very very unlikely sex symbol-- but not since Sideways has he really had a role that proves it. That all changes with Barney's Version, an adaptation of the Mordecai Richter novel that will star Giamatti as an impulsive, politically incorrect man who goes through at least three wives over the course of his long life.

Now on board to play the wives are Rosamund Pike, Minnie Driver and Rachelle Lefevre. According to THR Lefevre will play the first wife, a troubled artist; Driver is the talkative second wife, and Pike is the third wife, and one true love. The whole thing starts filming on August 17, with Dustin Hoffman also on board as Barney's father.
