Relativity's Snow White Finds Its Seven Dwarfs

As Universal's Snow White and the Huntsman and Relativity Media's currently untitled Snow White project get into gear and prepare to do battle next year (more on that HERE), a key element has been overlooked. Both projects have their female leads (Kristen Stewart and Lily Collins), male leads (Chris Hemsworth and Armie Hammer) and Evil Queens (Charlize Theron and Julia Roberts), but neither project has announced that they have found actors to play the seven dwarfs...until today.

Relativity has sent out a press release announcing that they have found actors to play the coleminers known as Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, Bashful, Sneezy, Dopey and Doc. While the official statement didn't say which actor will be playing which character, the cast includes Mark Povinelli (Water for Elephants), Jordan Prentice (In Bruges), Danny Woodburn (Watchmen), Sebastian Saraceno (Bedtime Stories), Ronald Lee Clark (Epic Movie), Martin Klebba (Pirates of the Caribbean films) and Joey Gnoffo (The Benchwarmers). The release also says that Mare Winningham (Brothers) and Michael Lerner have been cast as Baker Margaret and Baron, respectively.

For a while there I was actually wondering if the studio was going to cut the seven dwarfs out the story entirely, which is likely what's happening with Snow White and the Huntsman (when you look at the plot description it doesn't really lend itself to that part of the story). Production on the untitled Snow White project is scheduled to begin next month and the film will be released on March 16, 2012.
