Ryan Reynolds is pulling a Jiminy Glick, and I can't really figure out why. The guy bulks up and grows a sexy beard… and then he shaves himself as smooth as a seal and then throws on a really crappy looking fat suit. What's the point?
Comedy I guess. Reynolds is starring in the upcoming romantic comedy Just Friends along with Amy Smart, Anna Faris, and Chris Klein. Unless there's a lot more to this than there seems to be on the surface, count me dissapointed. Ryan, you're a lot better than this.
Just Friends casts Reynolds as a high school geek who becomes a flashy Los Angeles music executive. A storm strands him back in his New Jersey home town, and he finds himself reunited with his high school crush. Wacky rom-com hijinks ensue. Wonder if he gets the girl? Probably, since now he's thin and rich. Hot chick kryptonite.
