This isn’t really news, so much as confirmation of something everyone already knew. As there always is, we’ll have another Saw movie released in October next year.
Lionsgate has just assigned a release date for Saw V, and it’s October 24, 2008. All other would be horror movies beware. Actually, scratch that. We’re 5 movies into this franchise. Now seems like a good time for some other new horror tale to man up and take Saw on for Halloween. Earlier this year all potential competitors scattered like scared kittens in the face of Saw’s release. As a result, we end up with horror movies on such strange release dates as Christmas or Easter while Saw sucks up all the good horror movie space on Halloween. Come on Hollywood, give Saw a challenge.
