Thor 3’s Latest Set Video Shows A Glamorous, Yet Humble Mark Ruffalo

It wasn't too long ago that Mark Ruffalo dropped a look into his acting process on the set of Thor: Ragnarok, and already the actor is looking to be in a bit of a bored mood. Albeit, Ruffalo's boredom is probably tied into the fact that someone took his Hulk hands, but whatever the cause, it hasn't stopped him from sending another new video detailing his tenure in the latest Marvel threequel. You can watch that new video below.

Today's update from the Thor: Ragnarok production comes to us from Mark Ruffalo's Twitter, and shows our would-be green giant decked out in a full motion capture suit. More specifically, he delivered the following message to his adoring public:

Hello all. It's your humble servant, Mark Ruffalo, waiting to shoot some Hulk scenes in my legendary man cancelling suit. It's glamorous, but someone has to do it.

We can understand why the Academy Award nominated actor is sounding a little down in this video. After all, that motion capture suit doesn't look comfortable, not to mention the face tracking dots painted on Mark Ruffalo's face must be hell to continue to retouch after every take. Plus, as we learned not too long ago, Ruffalo has always had a little bit of apprehension while trying to act out a virtual performance, so there's that. Though that may not be the only reason we're seeing a slightly sadder green rage machine here. In fact, considering how intense of an actor that he is, it's altogether possible that the man who currently plays Bruce Banner, and his super-powered alter ego, isn't complaining about his condition at all, but rather keeping himself in a method acting head-space.

Though Thor: Ragnarok has been described as as buddy road comedy, there are bound to be more somber, reflective moments for Mark Ruffalo to contemplate in his performance. Those moments may be a direct tie-in to the rather somber "goodbye" that Bruce Banner / The Hulk decided to engage in with Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron, so the tone of the film can fully be in tact with some first act sadness being slowly overcome by the more humorous elements of Taika Waititi's latest film.

Thor

Naturally, with the secretive nature of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, everything that we've just said about Thor: Ragnarok, its story, and Mark Ruffalo, could be absolutely false. For all we know, Mark Ruffalo is filming a scene in which he'll fight with a gigantic space rabbit, whilst channeling Eeyore the Donkey. While that's an even less likely scenario, there are two things we can say for certain after watching Mark Ruffalo's latest Twitter video: Ruffalo is in the movie, and there will be some motion capture performance art going down for this picture.

That said, we hope the production of Thor: Ragnarok is going as smoothly as one would hope, and we're looking forward to the film's release on November 3, 2017. In the meantime though, could someone give Mr. Ruffalo his Hulk hands back? He's looking a little mopey, and you might become mildly upset him when he's mopey.
