Watch Edward Scissorhands Cut Thor's Hair In Ridiculous New Mashup Video

Fan edits of popular trailers are nothing new. Sometimes they improve a film's overall tone and style, and other times they add a sense of humor to a dour movie. Then there are the fan edits that take two unrelated concepts and mash them together into a brand new thing, such as this recent edit of the Thor: Ragnarok trailer. A new video has debuted online showing Johnny Depp's Edward Scissorhands giving Thor Odinson (Chris Hemsworth) his now infamous haircut, and it is unquestionably one of the most bizarre things that you will see all day. Check it out below to see for yourself.

We have seen some fairly outlandish fan edits over the years, but that video is definitely one of the most ridiculous. Using some top notch editing techniques, the clip takes the sequence in which Thor sees his long locks of hair chopped off, and splices it together with the scene from Edward Scissorhands in which Edward cuts Joyce's hair. It is a truly weird combination of sequences, but I mean that in the best way possible. By the time the video ends, it's pretty clear that Thor enjoyed the trim just as much as she did in Tim Burton's 1990 film.

It is obviously not surprising to see people trying their hands at fan edits of the Thor: Ragnarok trailer. In the short time since the preview made its online debut, it has gone on to become the most viewed trailer of any Disney brand to date. People are very clearly gravitating towards the perfect balance of action, humor, and bizarre Jack Kirby-inspired visuals -- not to mention the exemplary use of Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" to accompany the affair -- and we now have our fingers crossed that this will become the standard for superhero movie trailers going forward. After all, how can you not love Led Zeppelin?

Thor: Ragnarok will take the Asgardian Avenger on his most bizarre adventure yet. After finding himself imprisoned on the wrong side of the cosmos, Thor will have to battle with his former teammate The Hulk/Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) in a Planet Hulk-style arena for the entertainment of Jeff Goldblum's Grandmaster. This will lead him on a journey to fight his way back to Asgard in order to face off against the evil Hela (Cate Blanchett) before she can destroy his homeworld. This may be the third Thor movie to date (and the fifth Marvel Cinematic Universe movie to feature Chris Hemsworth as the imposing warrior), but it is the first to have us Avengers-level excited.

Thor Odinson will get his haircut and face off against The Incredible Hulk when Thor: Ragnarok makes its theatrical debut on November 3, 2017. Make sure to dive into the background information and get yourself up to speed on the latest Thor adventure before it hits theaters!
