Watch Out Morgan Freeman, Arnold Schwarzenegger Is Getting Into Narration

Arnold Schwarzenegger screaming in Kindergarten Cop

It is widely agreed that Morgan Freeman has the most alluring voice in all of Hollywood, as his smooth and silky dulcet tonnes can make even the most mundane of films suddenly seem glorious. But it looks as though Morgan Freeman is going to have some competition on his hands in the very near future for this title, because Arnold Schwarzenegger is getting into the narration game. The legendary actor will provide narration on the upcoming documentary film Wonders Of The Sea 3D, which he is also producing, too.

As well as providing the narration work and helping to get the film made, Arnold Schwarzenegger is also set to appear in the opening sequence of the documentary. Filmed over three years, Wonders Of The Sea 3D revolves around co-director Jean-Michel Cousteau's journey from Fiji to the Bahamas, which he made with his children Celine and Fabien. Jean-Michel Cousteua's other co-director on this project was Jean-Jacques Mantello, who also produced Wonders Of The Sea 3D alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger.

But while some of you out there might not be convinced that Arnold Schwarzenegger has the pipes to excel as a narrator, Jean-Michel Cousteau waxed lyrical about the Austrian actor's connection to the project to Variety, as he insisted that The Terminator star is "profoundly connected to the environment." More than that, Jean-Michel Cousteau also insisted that Arnold Schwarzenegger is intent on protecting the ocean, while he confirmed that he endowed Wonders Of The Sea 3D with his voice. Arnold Schwarzenegger should have the charming tone to pull narration work off, but we'll have to wait and see.

Jean-Michel Cousteau is the son of Jacques Cousteau, the world famous ocean explorer that even won the 1956 Palme d'or at the Cannes Film Festival for his documentary The Silent World. Jean-Michel Cousteau has firmly followed in his father's foot-steps, making over 80 of his own films as he has travelled the world's oceans on his boats the Calypso and Alcyone. In the process he has been awarded an Emmy and a Peabody. The next mission for both Jean-Michel Cousteau and Arnold Schwarzenegger is to find the right home for the 85-minute long documentary. They'll be hoping to do just that next month at the Cannes Film Festival, where Wonders Of The Sea 3D will be presented and then hopefully sold by Conquistador Entertainment.

Stay tuned to CinemaBlend over the next few weeks for further details on Wonders Of The Sea 3D, which will include whether or not it is sold at the Cannes Film Festival when it takes place between May 17 and May 28. Those of you that are on the hunt for a film to see before then, though, can head over to CinemaBlend's full 2017 movie schedule to figure out exactly when your next trip to the cinema will be. If you're nautically inclined then I suggest Justice League in November, which will mark the debut of Jason Momoa's Aquaman in the DC Extended Universe.
