There's A Solo Poster Floating Around That Is Definitely Fake

Although Star Wars: The Last Jedi is currently in theaters and making a ton of money along the way, many of us already have our sights set on the next entry in the Star Wars canon. Specifically, Solo: A Star Wars Story is set to take the baton from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and continue the new trend of Star Wars anthology films. We haven't seen any footage from the Corellian smuggler's spinoff movie yet, but if you want an absolutely confirmed fake look at the upcoming movie, you can check out the fake poster, below.

Han Solo movie poster star wars

Right off the bat, it's clear that this poster is far heavier on character than it is on plot or story. The first thing that pops out is the appearance of Alden Ehrenreich (who really does look like a young version of the character that first appears in A New Hope to ship Obi-Wan and Luke Skywalker off to Alderaan) alongside a playful Chewbacca. Even Donald Glover looks legitimate as Lando Calrissian, showing off the stylish and charming side of the character that we have all come to know and love. Unfortunately, a Disney rep confirmed it's not the real deal, so we'll have to just stick with that also unconfirmed cup tweet to get our first look at Alden Ehrenreich as the famous character.

One element of the movie that remains a bonafide mystery is the nature of Emilia Clarke's character, Kira. We know that Han Solo will eventually go on to find true love in the arms of Leia Organa from the original trilogy through his death during the events of The Force Awakens, so how the Game of Thrones star fits explicitly into Han's life remains one of the film's most intriguing mysteries.

The fake Solo: A Star Wars Story poster was put out by Licensing Russia, but we'll let you know as soon as Disney gives us the first real look at Solo, and we're hoping it's soon. The movie got off to a shaky start when Phil Lord and Chris Miller were fired and replaced with Ron Howard over the summer. Howard reportedly reshot a considerable amount of Solo: A Star Wars Story over the course of the last few months, and while recent rumors have suggested that footage will finally debut very soon, we think it's safe to say that we're on pins and needles to find out what this film will truly look like.

We will keep you posted with more updates related to this possible poster for Solo: A Star Wars Story as more information pertaining to the film becomes available to us. Han's solo movie is slated to debut in theaters next year on May 25, 2018; here's everything that we currently know about it.
