The Civil War tore Iron Man and Captain America apart. By the sound of it, it'll take another War to bring them back together. When CinemaBlend visited the set of Joe and Anthony Russo's Avengers: Infinity War, we learned that two years had passed between the end of Captain America: Civil War and the start of this new blockbuster. Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) has been off the grid fighting crimes, but he and Tony Stark still have unfinished business. So we asked Evans where Steve and Tony stand in Infinity War, and the leading man explained:

I don't think either one of us are ones to hold grudges. I think we operate very binary, utilitarian approach to most things we do, and I don't think we let emotion dictate our reality. It's been a couple years, so I think we both, to some degree... not moved on, but maybe buried some things.

Steve Rogers kind of accomplished that as Captain America: Civil War drew to a close, sending a letter to Tony "Stank" courtesy of Stan Lee that essentially says, 'If you need me, I'll be there.' Remember this?

Well, when Thanos sends a massive ring to the skies above Manhattan, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) will need Captain America (Chris Evans), who is going to bring the fight to Wakanda, the home of Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) and his Dora Milaj.

Ironically, all of the pairings that we have seen in the various Avengers: Infinity War trailers have NOT shown Iron Man interacting with Captain America. They appear to be on different missions, on opposite sides of the galaxy. That can't be the case, though. Joe and Anthony Russo need to bring these two MCU icons back together. I'm holding them to it.

We have been bringing you all of our coverage from the set of Joe and Anthony Russo's Avengers: Infinity War. But we pressed pause long enough to bring you the trailer. Coverage will continue into next week (and the week after) as we run up to the movie's release on April 27. Until then, make sure that you bookmark our Upcoming Marvel Movies Guide, because the best is yet to come.
