Official Avengers: Infinity War Making-Of Video Overloads Marvel Fans With Incredible New Shots

Benedict Cumberbatch is Doctor Strange

This is a struggle. We are roughly two weeks away from the first official screenings of Joe and Anthony Russo's Avengers: Infinity War. We made it this far, and we have likely avoided a lot of spoilers, because Marvel Studios has kept a lot close to the vest. But these official videos are starting to drop. And they don't reveal much, as they focus on the making of the blockbuster, but when you pore over them, you catch amazing glimpses of very cool moments. Like Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) teleporting Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) through a portal. Give this new clip a watch, if you dare:

The theme of this new featurette, released by Disney and Marvel Studios, is "Family." Though Vin Diesel, who does voice Groot in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, might take umbrage with the MCU using that, as "family" has been the defining mantra of his Fast & Furious universe for years now. Still, you can see the different bonds of friendship and love that have been formed on the Marvel movie sets over the years, going back a decade to the Iron Man trio of Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow and Jon Favreau.

But the clip also has a lot of fun talking about how new Avengers are enjoying interacting with characters and actors that they might never have dreamed of getting the opportunity to interact with, from Chris Pratt and Chris Hemsworth to Elizabeth Olsen and Danai Gurira. My favorite of this unexpected bunch is Benedict Cumberbatch, who so far has held down his own solo origin film as Dr. Stephen Strange but later showed up for a clever cameo in Thor: Ragnarok. The good doctor sends Star-Lord through a portal in the above clip, and I for one can't wait to see where the Guardians hero ends up.

Every time that I say I do not want to see any more footage from Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel Studios drops a new featurette, and I press play. I simply can't say no. So, get here April 27. Save me from myself. Because like all of you, I really want to enjoy the epicness of Joe and Anthony Russo's vision on the biggest screen possible.
