Looks Like Spider-Man: No Way Home Is Giving Tom Holland Another New Costume

Spider-Man: Homecoming suit

Over his five-movie run in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man has worn a variety of costumes, from the traditional-looking Spidey suit Tony Stark first made for him to the stealth suit (or Night Monkey outfit, if you prefer) he briefly wore in Prague. Yesterday, we learned that the MCU’s Peter Parker will get a new costume in Spider-Man: No Way Home, but as it turns out, it won’t be the only fresh superhero suit he’ll be seen wearing. That said, this other one has a drastically different color scheme.

Although Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures are still keeping specific Spider-Man: No Way Home plot details secret, newly-revealed merchandise for the upcoming Marvel movie has pulled back the curtain a little bit on what we can expect. Following the reveal of a new costume that looks like a blend between the Iron Spider and the suit Peter wore at the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home (which is officially called the Integrated Suit), now a black and gold suit has been unveiled. Take a look at it in Funko Pop Vinyl! form:

Now to be fair, toy tie-ins for superhero movies often contain elements that aren’t present in said movies. That said, it’s specifically noted on Marvel’s website that the new Spidey suits that have been given the Pop Vinyl! treatment “will be seen in the movie.” So for whatever reason, something will happen in Spider-Man: No Way Home that will result in Peter donning this black and gold suit.

Beyond aesthetics, it’s unclear how this black and gold suit will distinguish itself from the other black and gold costumes. One of the action figures of Spidey in that suit shows him spinning gold webbing, but other action figures of the Web-Slinger in different suits also come with gold-colored action accessories. We’ll just have to wait and see Tom Holland’s Peter Parker in action with his black and gold threads to learn what it’s capable of, but for now, cosplayers now have another black variant of the Spider-Man costume to replicate.

While we’re still being kept in the dark about what exactly Spider-Man: No Way Home has in store for audiences, one thing has become abundantly clear: it will play around with the multiverse. Not only is Benedict Cumberbatch’s Stephen Strange appearing here ahead of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but Jamie Foxx’s Electro and Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus are also confirmed to return. And despite Tom Holland debunking the rumors that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will reprise their respective versions of Spider-Man, many fans aren’t buying it and believe we will indeed see three generations of Wall-Crawlers team up in live action.

All will be revealed when Spider-Man: No Way Home swings into theaters on December 17. As always, keep visiting CinemaBlend for the latest news on that MCU project and other upcoming Marvel movies.
